KeyBox (the “App”) is a tool for keeping your private photos, notes, PDFs, files and reminders on your iPhone only.
It is designed with privacy first. We collect no personal data and never upload your saved content to a server.
Data collection
The App does not collect personal data such as your name, email address, or device identifiers.
No account is required. You can use it without logging in or signing up.
Where data is stored
Photos, videos, notes, files and reminders you save in the App are never uploaded to a server. They stay on this iPhone.
Data is stored within the iOS sandbox and protected by iOS Data Protection and your device lock.
Ads & tracking
The App contains no ads — no banners, interstitials, or trackers.
No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking libraries are included.
Network communication
The core features of the App do not require an internet connection.
As exceptions, the following traffic may occur through Apple’s own frameworks:
- StoreKit purchases and restore (processed by Apple)
- Displaying this website’s privacy policy, terms, and support pages
- Information you voluntarily send when contacting support (via your mail app)
Encrypted backup
To prepare for device changes or failures, you can create your own password-protected encrypted backup.
Backup files are saved to a location you choose (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, etc.) and are never sent to the App’s server.
The backup password is not stored on the device and cannot be recovered by the developer if lost.
Payments
Monthly, yearly, and one-time payments are processed through Apple’s App Store.
The App does not handle payment information directly. Transactions take place between you and Apple.
Contacting support
When you contact support, we only handle information you voluntarily provide.
Anything you send is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children, but we handle personal information with care regardless of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the App’s practices change (for example, if analytics features are added in the future), we will update this page.
For significant changes, we will also notify you within the App.
